Hi everyone,
I’m excited to share some developments in our multiplayer Unity game! We’ve been working on designing and implementing these new features to enhance the gameplay.
Firstly I should mention that the map has been designed and built by Lakshya Tyagi in the team. It is super fun to run around so far!
Next, one of the latest additions is the introduction of a skybox, which brings a whole new dimension to the game. Now, players can distinguish between the Light Realm and Dark Realm more clearly. In the Dark Realm, there is a hue change in the sky, with dark red hue enveloping the environment. Alternatively, the Light Realm has a more serene sky-blue backdrop.
This is the view the Dark Realm player has. The dark realm player can’t see the machine parts.
This is the Light Realm players view:
As the goal of the Light Realm Player is to switch into the Dark Realm and collect the machine parts, the machine parts are only available for them to collect in that realm. Therefore, players have to decide, do they venture into the Dark Realm where they are more vulnerable to collect machine parts or do they stay in the Light Realm where they are stronger but as a result, don’t complete the mission?
You’ll notice that the Light Realm players UI view is different as they have two additional counters on the screen. One is the Team Machine Parts count and the other Player Machine Parts count. The Team Machine Parts counter displays the total number of machine parts collected by the Light Realm team collectively. On the other hand, the Player Machine Parts counter shows how many parts an individual Light Realm player has collected. In this case, I am playing as a Light Realm player and I have collected a part for the team, hence why both Team and Player parts count has been incremented.
But that’s not all! We’re working on introducing a new Light Machine that the Light Realm players can repair.
Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements as we continue to evolve the game.

Molly
